SECURITY AND TRANSPARENCY.
IT'S IN OUR ROOTS.
Professionalism, security and trust are fundamental values that form the foundation of Girosol. That's why we incorporate internal controls, policies, operational procedures and softwares to comply with all federal and state laws that govern the money service business industry (MSB). Girosol is committed to the ardent battle against money laundering and the financing of terrorism.
Girosol effectively adjusts its procedures and standards to be in accordance with the US Patriot act and the laws against money laundering as stated in title 18 of the United States Code (USC).
Under the direction of a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Girosol has established a program designed to impede the use of its operations for money laundering.
According to the requirements of section 352 of the US Patriot Act, implemented by regulation 31 CFR 103.125, Girosol has put into action a compliance program against money laundering, which includes:
• Incorporated policies, procedures and internal controls reasonably designed to be in compliance with the BSA laws.
• An official designated compliance officer responsible for the daily monitoring of the compliance program stipulated by BSA.
• Appropriate education and training of personnel according to their functions.
• Procedures for the independent revision of the compliance program to supervise, improve and maintain an appropriate program.
Additionally, we provide annual visits for training and auditing to assure that our network of agents are in compliance with the same laws and regulations.
Our sophisticated compliance software allows Girosol to monitor transactions, deter and report suspicious activity, file and retain financial records, and provide training to its employees and network of agents.
Girosol is bonded, licensed and regulated in the 28 states where it operates, and is duly registered with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) as a money remittance company. Girosol is also supervised and regulated by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
